From the view of an outsider, World of Warcraft is just another Fantasy Game.

But Warcraft is much more than that. It is (to Players) a Real World.
A World in which anything is possible – with Monsters, Beasts, Battles and Quests.
A World in which you have to work hard to get on and play hard to get the most out of it.
So what is it all about ?
Each Player (and you have to buy a copy of the Game AND pay a monthly subscription to play) has
an individual character who can be one of a number of different types and races and according to his or her type will have various abilities including fighting or healing.
So far so good – what is the difference between Warcraft and other video games…
The Main Difference is that you will be playing online against numerous other online players (of all kinds and amounts of experience). Your Character will have to start right at the bottom and has to work his/her way up through various levels until he or she acquires enough gold and weapons and other goodies to get to a point where he or she can join a guild and be able to take part in numerous quests – on the way being able to tame and make pets of various creatures and making allies – just like in real life.
Because you are playing with or against REAL people, you never know what is going to happen – it really is like being transported into another world where many things become possible.
So what do you get out of it – in a word Respect – the higher you go in the game, the more respect you will get and also satisfaction at overcoming challenges, solving puzzles and completing quests.
It is really similar to being suddenly dumped in a land where you do not speak the language and you arrive without money or even food. You have to use your wits or strength or courage to survive.
Warcraft is a game of survival but it can be played on many levels. It is not just a battle or an exploration game (although those things take place within the game) Co-operation between players is commonplace and even encouraged and this leads to off-line as well as on-line friendships
There are of course many ways to get round the system but Blizzard try to stop as many of those as they can.

One of the main things that any player must do is to accumulate Warcraft Gold and this can be done in a number of ways. There are several companies in the real world that will actually sell you Warcraft Gold and this is frowned upon by Blizzard.
THere are a number of hints and tips to make your exploration of the lands of Warcraft a little easier but you must realise that in World of Warcraft time passes at the same rate as in our World and quests can take several weeks to complete.
There is a trial version of Warcraft available to see if you like playing . Most people get immediately hooked and get the full version quickly.
Warcraft Quests are not simple and Blizzard have brought out a number of add-on modules to give you further enjoyment. A Recent edition is called Burning Crusade and is quite difficult.
There are hints and a few cheats and there are even bots that can be used within gameplay. However if you are discovered using these then you will be banned.
Try Warcraft for yourself – it is not just another video game its much more than that and I think you will like it.
