Heroes is a science-fiction/drama TV series about the lives of “ordinary people who discover extraordinary powers” and their role of using their superhuman powers in saving or destroying the world. Since the show has been compared by critics to X-men and 24, those who enjoy action flicks or comic books won’t be disappointed.
The main characters include the cheerleader Claire Bennet (Hayden Panettiere), doctor Mohinder Suresh (Sendhil Ramamurthy), Japanese office worker Hiro Nakamura (Masi Oka), and nurse Peter Petrelli that discover they have the powers of regeneration, super-strength, time travel, and flight respectively.
The plot of Heroes is designed to be similar to the stories of comic books with small story arcs built into the series’ overall large story arc plot. Each season of Heroes is designed to involve ordinary people who discover extraordinary super powers, and how these abilities take effect in the character’s daily lives.
