Mad Hatter’s Internet Shopping For The Tea Party
I have been spending a lot of time online lately because I just can’t decide which things to buy in preparation for my friend’s bridal shower that I will be hosting. It’s the least I could do for my friend who will soon become a bride and this is the only type of gift that I could think of that she will be able to remember forever. I tried to consult her less because I wanted to make it a little extra special. I don’t want to make it look like something that she decided on because it will be my gift for her anyway so I am in control.
The first thing that I’ve been deciding on is what theme to use for the bridal shower that I am throwing for her. She is a very comical and hilarious person so why not go with a tea party similar to the Mad Hatter from Alice In Wonderland?
Food should not be a problem since it’s just going to be a tea party. Heart tarts, chocolate cupcakes with cherry on top, cookies with jelly frosting and chocolate-dipped strawberries and cherries should do the trick. If they come craving for something salty, I can come up with a few sandwiches and pizza bites, too. As for the drinks, basically tea, coffee, hot or cold chocolate and fresh fruit juices should do the trick. OF course, I won’t forget to include the tags “Drink me!” and “Eat me!” on food and drinks to make it look more genuine as is in the movie.
The fancy teacups, teapots, plates, table cloth, paper lanterns and flowers will complete the whole Mad Hatter’s Tea Party-themed bridal shower. Of course, everyone should come in their craziest hat. The crazier and sillier, the better. I still don’t know if I will be providing the bride-to-be with a crazy hat or maybe I should just ask her to come in her craziest hat as well. She doesn’t have any idea what type of bridal shower I am throwing for her so this one should be a blast.
Just to make sure that the information doesn’t leak out to her, I didn’t tell any of the guests who will be attending the tea party about my plans. Sometimes, as much as I want our other friends to help me out with this but I just can’t help to keep it to myself because I have the need to surprise my friends especially the soon-to-be-bride even just this once.
I have almost completed my list of things to do and what to buy. The only thing left to do is to go shopping for them. I find the internet very useful and helpful in finding the theme that I want for my surprise tea party/bridal shower for my friend. I even got the recipes of the cookies and the other snacks that I will be making from different websites to be able to come up with one, big event. As for buying the stuff I need, I’d rather do it by foot to make sure that everything turns out almost perfect than I planned. Nothing beats the real shopping after all.
