When deciding on a web based meeting utility for a business, you will have to take into account several consequential points. Firstly, the researcher should understand that there exists a surplus of half truths. Be prepared for this while considering the multiple alternatives you have when choosing an online conferencing company. Let’s take a look at what I found out. Or, if you’re in a rush you can go straight to my web based meeting blog to find out who I am using and the reasons why.
Some web based meeting providers, while lower priced or even free, might promise the world and under deliver. At the same time some other services could be thousands of dollars and may be a lot more than you really need. The point is, with the high pace of technology over the past decade, obtaining an affordable service that does what you want is not complicated, and you don’t have to spend very much time fact finding or put thousands of dollars on the line to find exactly what you want.
When my graphics business resolved to get into using a web based meeting system to save on our travel costs, it fell on me to do the research. I reluctantly said yes because the alternative would be no job! Amazingly it only took a couple of days to come across a good solution. I thought I’d write this article to save anyone in my situation the time of struggling through the internet searching for good advice. I even put up a short blog telling how I made the decision that my coworkers and I were pleased with.
My first concern was price. My company is a small one and my first searches came up with software ranging in the 1000′s of dollars. No way! I said to myself. However these were advanced web conferencing setups, installations, etc. What we were looking for was just a painless way to interface over the internet visually. To my surprise, even if we had decided upon the higher priced course of action, the overall costs would have most likely covered themselves within just a few months.
My second concern was security. This was something I had not thought about initially, but later I realized how critical it was. Our company which makes protected designs is wary of making known any type of visual information over the web. The free services that exist just weren’t what we wanted. Bottom line, there is no security. The high priced systems obviously had the highest levels of encryption available. Still I felt confident that our choice would be sufficient as it utilizes end to end SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) and advanced 128 bit encryption. This is the exact encryption that Bank of America employs.
I would like to encourage you to check out more of my research at the link below. Once you get to the site you can discover precisely what company we chose to use for our business and a continuing review of that company. Also, you’ll find some recommendations on some ways to better implement the service to your business’s gain.
