Finding it hard to know what to say on a video or podcast? You could try to make extra money online with article marketing? Before I move on if you don’t want to make videos or podcasts yourself you could try other options like outsourcing but I’ll talk about them in another article.

Article marketing like video content can provide a constant stream of income long after the article has been written. So why not give it a shot and make extra money online from article marketing. However the technique of writing an article with good content and which gets found by users using search engines needs to be followed carefully before you can expect this.

1. Choose the right keyword for your article, this ensures you’ll be found in searches (check out my article on keyword research for help doing this).

2. Next put this keyword in the title and three times throughout the article (it is usually best to have the keyword in the first paragraph aswell).

3. Write an article that people read! Sounds easy but remember people don’t read online they scan. An average user will look at a page for eight seconds and if something hasn’t caught their attention they will click away.

4. Sentences need to be kept short and sharp, so that they are flowing and keep the reader’s attention. This also helps stop readers clicking links and leaving the page.

5. You should have sentences that flow onto each other so the person reading your article will want to read on. If you write the article well with sentences like this the reader won’t see it as a task to read your article (If it’s any bit of an effort, you can take it that the reader is going to move on).

6. Divide your article up into paragraphs or points (online seven points usually works well so you see seven points here).

7. Put your articles on the top article sites and also your blog. The tops sites include; Ezinearticles, Searchwarp and Articlebase. You may also find article sites specific to your niche that you should submit to.
