It is not always easy to make best of lists for actors in Hollywood today. I love doing it, but some actors just don’t have enough good movies to choose from to do so. Fortunately, Samuel L. Jackson is not one of those people. He has starred in almost 130 movies and as a result, has quite a nice resume built up to choose from.
This article will highlight my top five favorite Samuel L. Jackson movies of all time.
In Coach Carter, Samuel L. Jackson plays the title character, who is a controversial basketball coach that cares more about the well being of his kids than the game itself. Based on a true story, this is an incredibly inspirational film.
Another movie of Samuel L. Jackson’s which I absolutely loved was Deep Blue Sea. I know, it is an incredibly cheesy movie and Mr. Jackson may not be on screen for as long as LL Cool J, but that is part of what makes this movie so entertaining.
One movie that I have to mention which I haven’t seen in quite some time is Sphere. Also starring Dustin Hoffman and Sharon Stone, this science fiction thriller is a mind trip.
If you have not seen Unbreakable, then you are missing out on one of the better M. Night Shyamalan films out there. Samuel L. Jackson stars as Elijah Price, a mentor of sorts to a man that figures out he has supernatural abilities.
Finally, I have to include one film from the Star Wars saga on this list. While these films never lived up to the greatness of the original three, Sammy played the part of Mace Windu to a tee.
